Professional Development Program - What it looks like as an overview

  • 1:1 mentoring with all clinicians at SCHP every 12 weeks
  • Professional Practice Committee in a group setting every 12 weeks
  • Informal Education sessions and shadowing
  • Education is so important to us in the pursuit of excellence. It is also another way we can give our staff an opportunity to express themselves.
  • Go 1 grants access to over 80,000 online training courses in multiple categories relating to their work as well as their life, from how to buy a house to how to bake a cake.

An Evidence Based Clinical Governance Frame Work to guide our practice.

The clinical governance framework is based on a combination of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the NDIS Act. This unique blended approach captures the highest level of clinical quality from each Act and guides our team to always deliver the best care, regardless of the client situation or funding model the client is in. We not only conduct our services in the most ethical and evidence-based manner but also in a way that is consistent with the legislative requirements that we work under in NSW, associated states and in Australia.

Working under our own clinical governance framework that combines the requirements from the aged care act 1997, the New Aged Care standards and the NDIS Act 2013 in conjunction with the standards set out by AHPRA. This framework guides our daily practice and the decisions we make both in business and as health professionals.

Professional Practice Commitee's

All clinicians that work with Sea Change are given the opportunity to contribute any discussion points or recommended changes to the frame work and how we practice based on their experiences and clinical practice along side any new and updated evidence-based practice. This is held quarterly and all changes are updated and included for all who practice with Sea Change.
